Time for something new
Hi there! It’s been a bit. We recently went on a quick break to give our final exams. We’re officially graduates now and we’ll be joining the workforce really soon! Time truly flies. We started WitMeUp this January to impart all that we know about personal finance, investing and simply navigating college. Although we bid farewell to our college lives, we’d love to continue doing the work that we set out to do with WitMeUp.
But since we’ll be moving on from college to corporate (and so will a big part of our audience), we thought now’s the time to tweak our content format a little bit. Rather than conforming WitMeUp to the college community alone (although we’ll continue making content for college students as well), we wanted to open it up to young working professionals who are just starting out. There are so many things to figure out- living on your own, renting a vehicle Vs buying your own, tax planning, investing, and so much more. So, along with college-centric content, we’ve decided to document our journey for the benefit of others who are in the same boat or for those who will be in the same shoes soon. And with that out of the way…
How it’s gonna work
You will hear from us on the 15th and 30th of every month at 9 am on the dot. The newsletter has 2 segments- one documents the lives of young working professionals and the other is a miscellaneous (read: chaotic) college-related collective. The newsletter for 15th, titled ‘’Our Two Cents” will cover our corporate journey and insights as we become financially independent. You can expect a slightly long-form content here. The newsletter for 30th, titled ‘In other news’, covers college-centric views on personal finance, research papers, student loans, and so much more. This one will resemble the content we’ve been putting out so far in terms of length and subject matter.
Where the writers come in
As mentioned in an earlier post, we’re looking to build a community of writers who can share thoughts and tips from their journeys for the benefit of the larger audience. We’ve already received some splendid applications and are open to reviewing a couple more until the end of this month. If you’re interested in writing for the college community or if you’re starting out with corporate and the new content format has piqued your interest, your application will be most welcome. All we need is a quirky introduction and two writing samples at witmeup.in@gmail.com, and that’ll be all. If you have any questions, feel free to ping us over email or LinkedIn.
Happy applying! We look forward to reading what you have to say, and have some of you join us on the other side :)
Over and out,
Team WitMeUp
